What keeps me up at night is curiosity. My style is to view family photo sessions not as a challenge but more so an opportunity to learn more about the different life experiences I often refer to as, the human comedy.
From my perspective, the “professional” responsibility is having the artistic talent and ability to adopt a new mindset for a few hours.
Giving someone the chance to stay present in one of the many fleeting moments and not worry about how they look. They simply feel like they can relax and be themselves.
We live in a world where anytime and any place we can meet children of all ages, with fascinating and hopeful stories that I continually remind myself that everybody’s just a human.
It’s a quirky brain game I play with myself.
I stand behind my camera observing, interpreting and documenting family pictures for other parents and of my own children. Hoping to find the natural yet vibrant emotional texture that makes someone's personality come to life.
Somehow turning what mothers, fathers and even grandparents often describe as a fleeting moment into something that will help provide clarity for generations.
